ABOUT RIDER

Rider Performance Cycles was started by Walt Rider with the mission to provide high-end, but affordable carbon cycling frames to athletes of all abilities and ages.

Originally from the New England area, Walt Rider has been passionately involved in the triathlon and cycling community for over thirty years. A superb runner and cyclist, Walt began his love for cycling as a multi-sport pro athlete successfully competing with world class athletes, but has spent the last 25 years as a bike shop owner, mechanic, and coach. Although retired from racing professionally, Walt maintains his passion for the sport and continues to race competitively in local and regional races. A perennial USAT All- American, he has routinely represented TEAM USA in ITU World Championships, as well as shown his versatility by racing XTERRA Worlds.

Walt's enthusiasm for competitive cycling is contagious, but his main focus is in helping other athletes, whether pro, amateur, or just new to the sport.
